Starz Headquarters

Located within Santa Monica’s vibrant Arts District, this four-story, 60,000-square-foot LEED-certified office development reinterprets the creative workplace as both sculptural landmark and community-minded investment. Designed to elevate the everyday office building, the concrete-and-glass structure provides healthy, light-filled environments while harmonizing with neighboring creative spaces. Conceived as a precise architectural object, the building interacts dynamically with the street through angular, patterned façades that reflect and refract light, shifting in character with time, weather, and perspective. Carefully selected glazing controls heat gain while concealing spandrel conditions, allowing the curtain wall to read as a seamless, artful surface enriched by shadow boxes, a subtle frit pattern, and vertical fins that add depth, articulation, and human scale. Dramatic eight-foot cantilevers provide shade and create sheltered edges, while a fourteen-foot-tall structural glass entry fosters transparency and connection to the neighborhood. Supported by secure below-grade parking, the project extends its impact beyond architecture, with profits funding charitable initiatives that serve underserved communities.
