NHN Headquarters - Green Factory (with Nbbj)

The NHN Venture Tower is conceived as an architectural manifestation of digital interactivity, translating the dynamic nature of the web into built form. Designed to act as an interface between the surrounding community and NHN’s workforce, the building encourages a dialogue at the urban scale through its responsive façade system. This interactive skin, composed of both manually and automatically operated perforated louvers, adapts to shifting solar conditions while creating a constantly evolving visual expression. Each tenant’s ability to adjust the louvers introduces an element of human participation, producing an infinite array of surface variations that reflect the building’s collective activity. The design integrates a double-skin curtain wall system, forming a thermal buffer that enhances environmental performance by regulating heat gain and ventilation. Beyond its technological sophistication, the tower symbolizes NHN’s commitment to innovation, connectivity, and the seamless fusion of digital behavior with architectural experience.
